About Lamain Consultancy
Lamain Consultancy was founded by R. Lamain, a Tropical Forestry Engineer (Ir. MSc) and graduate of Wageningen University. Throughout his professional career, he recognized the growing need to share knowledge and create cross-pollination between disciplines. This led to the establishment of Lamain Consultancy—to connect expertise, turn insight into action, and accelerate sustainable impact.
A key ambition of Lamain Consultancy is to support the development of new talent by providing opportunities, responsibility, and a platform to grow. R. Lamain believes that “doing better” must become “doing right”, and that there is an urgent need to apply more sustainable working models. These include agroecology, certified production processes, and the integration of natural capital into organizational and business operations.
Our team is built around a strong network of experts, each with up-to-date specialist knowledge and a broad, systems-based perspective. Different disciplines come together in project teams, where collaboration and knowledge exchange create results that go beyond the sum of individual contributions.

SDG 11 – Sustainable Cities and Communities
Urban development plans—such as construction, mobility, and energy transition projects—are directly connected to the surrounding rural environment. The growth of urban centers places demands on nearby landscapes and natural resources. Sustainable rural development, responsible management of natural resources, and the safeguarding of natural processes are therefore essential components of long-term urban and community planning.
SDG 12 – Responsible Consumption and Production
Sustainable production of renewable resources reduces pressure on the environment and raw materials. Responsible production practices support the restoration of natural processes, including nutrient cycles.
